Lumasol's Ground Mounts Reach New Heights with LIT Solutions

Nine storeys above Durban city centre, this rooftop came with real problems. High wind loads and a surface packed with obstructions.

LIT Solutions chose our 2x17 ground mount structures for this site. We modified the layout to work around the rooftop obstructions. The structures were secured to the slab using threaded rod and chemical anchor.

The result is a ground mount system doing its job nine storeys off the ground, wind-rated and built to last.

Well done to the LIT Solutions team on a technically demanding install.

South-facing roof slopes are a common challenge in the southern hemisphere. Panels tilted the wrong way lose production, and that adds up over the life of a system.

This project shows one way we solve it. The inclined system uses a Cardwell bracket to bridge the gap between two roof ridges. It gives you the support you need without running full-length rail across the whole span. Less material, same structural integrity, better production angle.
