🚧 Pugh’s Garden Centre, Wenvoe – Phase 3 🚧

We’re now well underway with Phase 3 of the car park improvement works at Pugh’s Garden Centre in Wenvoe.

The lads have been busy with the groundworks, preparing and levelling the areas, installing gravel grids and putting in new timber parking barriers.

It’s been great to see how much the site has changed since we first started, with each phase making a real difference to the car park.

A big thanks to the team for all their hard work keeping things moving while the garden centre stays open as usual. 👏

What's SUDS? (And why your site needs it)

Build on land, and rain that once soaked into the ground now has nowhere to go but the drains and usually all at once. That's what causes flash flooding and also overwhelmed sewers.

Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) fix this by slowing water down and letting it soak away naturally. Things such as permeable paving, soakaways, and rain gardens instead of just pipes and drains.

With more development and heavier rainfall, councils are getting stricter on drainage. Getting it right from the groundworks stage protects the site and everything downstream.

Good drainage starts underground. 👷‍♂️

🚧 Another Job Completed in Penarth! 🚧

Our team at Ace Site Services (UK) Ltd has recently completed two new tarmac crossovers on Woodland Place, Penarth.

Works included the preparation of both areas, installation of new concrete edging kerbs and laying of a fresh tarmac surface to provide a clean, durable finish.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and versatile individual who has experience in tarmac surfacing and is also confident undertaking a range of groundworks and civil engineering tasks.

Experience required in:

✅ Tarmac laying, raking and finishing
✅ Concrete laying, levelling and finishing
✅ Kerbing, edging and paving
✅ Drainage and general groundworks
✅ Other civil engineering and construction works
✅ Working independently and as part of a team

Additional requirements:

🔹 CSCS card preferred
🔹 Full UK driving licence desirable
