Time away and a little too late!😞

Emergency call came in from a very distressed lady....on returning from her holiday she noticed a bad smell.

On more investigation she noticed maggots by her fireplace, sad to say a squirrel had fell in with no way escaping.

With the heat we have had lately its not surprising things turned out this way....along with a terminal issue allowing this to happen.

Everything was dealt with safely and the stove was thoroughly cleaned through, along with a new terminal fitted...to prevent it from happening again.

Please always look up, check your terminals regularly and if unsure take a photo, send it over to be checked, it costs nothing but time!

Inset, onset, outset....compilation of just a few!

Whether its inset stoves or openfires or up to large ranges we are there to deliver a full service to keep these appliances safe.

Thorough sweep through, inside, underside and up above, assessing on all is done.

New firebricks, retainers or baffleplates no matter whats needed we are there providing a complete solid fuel safety check...so you the customer get the best from your install.

Out and about carrying out repairs to installations aswell as servicings.

Look focused, serious and technical in these photos👍...it took toll on my wrists I tell you!

All completed, tested and set ready for the winter time. It will draw better and run more efficiently now for the customer.

Then onto cleaning with another type of hose,customers stoves and chimneys having annual clean.

We all like a before and after shot so as you can even though the stove wasnt used a lot through winter it still needed a good clean.

Its not just gardens and roads cracking with too much heat!

This customers installation has been burning quite hot and caused the baffleplate to twist then split.

Firebricks also cracked open and crumbling so had to be replaced.

Regular maintenance and servicing isn't just sweeping a chimney flue then go, its taking out parts thorough clean of the firebox then assessing the inner parts that keep the stove running efficiently aswell as safely.

Misfit....no a refit!Working along side the customer to get this installation all fitted safely.New pot and capping work...

Misfit....no a refit!

Working along side the customer to get this installation all fitted safely.

New pot and capping works completed a few weeks ago then back once customer had laid the new hearth.

We supplied and fitted full liner kit, reg plate, then carried out testings to sign works off.

One happy customer as they left us a great review, many thanks Paul.

Oooh what a sticky one!

Combination of the heat and dry weather this chimney flue had a cobweb stretching across the opening.

It didnt split or break it just shows what the climate is doing inside those voids.

This would prevent any draw working safely so it pays to have your chimney cleaned every year so your flue gases escape safely.

Wow....just wow,what a couple of weeks!

Had a fantastic holiday away as a family, enjoyed plenty of down time at the hottest point of July.

Wanted to share what was our last evening there and to say that we are now back pulling out all the stops to get those sweep servicings done.

Great summer, hope everyone else is having a lovely time🔆🤗

Three tiered and glazed over...

Top of customers chimney needed prepping ready for a stove installation next month.

Capping on top cracked, gas terminal removed, oversails all split and loose.

New tall chimney pot fitted, new capping works and all the oversails redone.

Has time to go off and set fully ready for when we come back to do the stove installation.

Time for something different now its cooler...

Outside in the fresh air yesterday helping a customer out who had issues with damp spots on upstairs chimney breast.

Two unused chimneys all ventilated and pots all sound but the capping around them was all shot, falling away causing rain to get in.

As you can see now its all been redone, sealed and had time to go off before last nights showers.

Customer pleased with the results and we will see him later in the year for his annual chimney sweep.
