🔥 Another Roof Transformation Underway! 🔥

We’ve been hard at work on the club in Kington St Michael, giving this tired old roof a complete new lease of life.

The first step was removing the old triple Roman tiles, before treating all of the existing timbers to help protect them for years to come. We also installed new rafters alongside the original ones to help straighten out the roof and support the old timbers that had sagged over time.

The roof is now being finished with beautiful new clay double Roman tiles, along with TLX Gold insulated roofing membrane. This high-performance insulation will help keep the room below cooler during the summer months and warmer throughout the winter, improving comfort all year round.

A huge challenge on this project has been the extreme heat we’ve experienced over the last couple of weeks. Working on a roof in those temperatures has certainly tested us, but we’ve kept pushing through while maintaining the high standard of workmanship we’re proud of.

A massive thank you also goes to Jess for all of her hard work throughout this job. She’s been an absolute star from start to finish, and it’s been great having her on the team. 👏🏽💪 If you’re lucky, you might even get to see female roofer Jess in action on your own project!

Earlier this year we had the pleasure of completing a two-storey extension for our friends Eddie and Jane.

The project included all groundworks, shell construction, fitting structural steels, a traditional hand-cut roof, and full roof tiling. One of the biggest transformations was opening up and extending the existing kitchen and dining area to create a much larger open-plan living space for the family to enjoy as well as adding much more space to the two bedrooms.

It’s always rewarding to see a project come together from the ground up, and we’re proud to have been part of creating such a fantastic extension.

A big thank you to Eddie and Jane for trusting us with the build, and we’d like to wish Eddie — a semi-retired builder himself — all the very best in completing the internal works.
