We are obsessed with extending and altering homes. Book a free consultation with an architect to start your journey: http://bit.ly/45LkswI

Our focus is on the end-to-end service, which starts with immersive and collaborative design and costing workshops. HOKO is a turnkey home remodelling service for homeowners. We believe that homeowners are often forgotten by the architecture industry. We are focused exclusively on extensions and home alterations in a UK market expected to hit £47 billion in 2021. Since our launch in 2019 we have grown from a small Glasgow firm to employ 30 people, operating throughout the UK from Inverness all the way to Brighton. We have introduced additional revenue streams; we can now build the projects we design through carefully chosen partnerships with local contractors and offer full interior design packages. We aim to make HOKO the first household name for residential architecture.

We have a bit of an obsession with good interior details. And we’re not talking about expensive furniture or the latest design trends.

We’re talking about the things you might not even notice at first.

A really good combination of materials. A beautifully finished piece of joinery. Lighting that’s been considered from the very beginning rather than added as an afterthought.

It’s these decisions that give a home its personality, and they’re often the most enjoyable part of the design process.

We are launching a new desig servise, so feel free to reach out if you need interior design help.

We get asked all sorts of questions by our clients, and we’re always happy to answer them!

We believe that honesty and transparency are at the heart of every successful project. It’s important to us that our clients feel informed, confident and comfortable asking questions at every stage.

After all, good design isn’t just about creating beautiful spaces. It’s about helping you make the right decisions for your home, your lifestyle and your needs.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before speaking to an architect. In fact, that’s exactly what we’re here to help with.

Maybe your kitchen feels too small, your layout no longer works for your family, or you’re wondering whether an extension is the right solution.

The best time to start the conversation is when you know something needs to change, even if you’re not sure what that change should look like yet.

Speaking to an architect early can help you understand what’s possible, explore different options, set realistic expectations for your budget, and avoid costly decisions further down the line.

At HOKO, we start with a 15-min consultation. It’s an opportunity to tell us about your home, what isn’t working, and what you’d love to achieve. We’ll help you understand the next steps.

Thinking about making changes to your home? Book your free consultation with HOKO and let’s explore what’s possible.

Good conversations, plenty of questions, and some lovely feedback we get at our events.

Autumn is a great time to start thinking about those home plans you’ve been putting off — whether it’s an extension, renovation or simply figuring out what’s possible with your space.

And if you couldn’t make it to our latest event, no worries — drop us a message and we’d be happy to arrange a chat with one of our architects.

Your home isn’t just about how it looks from the outside, or how many square metres you add with an extension. It’s about how it feels when you’re actually living in it.

The light. The colours. The materials. The furniture. The little details that make a space feel like you.

So alongside today’s interior design tips, we wanted to remind you that HOKO now offers an Interior Design service too.

It starts with a conversation with Danny, where you’ll explore your style, how you use your home, what you’re naturally drawn to (and what you definitely aren’t!) to uncover your Design DNA.

From there, we’ll bring everything together into considered recommendations, moodboards, colours, materials and design direction — giving you a clear vision for how your home can feel on the inside, not just how it looks on the plans.

Because good design shouldn’t stop at the extension. It should continue all the way into the way you live in it.

Save these interior tips for your next project — and get in touch if you’d like some help discovering your Design DNA.
