We are proud to celebrate the official handover and opening of the next phase of works at Bedford Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) for Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Situated on the first floor of Gilbert Hitchcock House, the new pre-assessment and urology one-stop service marks an important step forward in improving patient care and experience.

The enhanced facilities will increase pre-operative assessment capacity, helping to reduce elective surgery waiting times, while also enabling patients to receive urology diagnostics during their initial consultant appointment.

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Bedford Borough, Tom Wootton, to help mark this significant milestone.

A huge congratulations and thank you to everyone involved in delivering this fantastic improvement.

To celebrate our project at Gilbert Hitchcock House finishing, the team wanted to show appreciation to our incredible site crew and the dedicated NHS staff by hosting an end of project BBQ!

A huge thank you to The Rub BBQ for providing the delicious food that brought everyone together!

Despite the rain, spirits were high and smiles were everywhere.🍔👏

Countdown to Kickoff!⚽

This Friday our 5-a-side football tournament is back, supporting the incredible work of Keech Hospice .

Keech provide free specialist end-of-life hospice care for people of all ages. Caring and supporting adults, children and their families.

We had such a great time last year, and we’re ready to do it all again!

We are looking forward to seeing the teams there: Randstad, Pagabo, BCAL Consulting, Barker Associates Mason Navarro Pledge, Harris Electrical, Integral Electrical Solutions, Saunders Boston Architects, Bellwood Interiors, Langley and Arcade UK Ltd.

As part of Volunteers’ Week, members of the Ashe Green Team took part in the SCAPE litter pick at our local project.

Together, the team collected 2 bags of litter, helping to make a positive impact on the local environment. 🌱

We recently gave our Social Value Manager, Natalie, a camera for the week to capture a glimpse into her day-to-day… and here’s what she got up to 📸

From visiting Journeys to catch up with Kieran, a T Level student, to a working-from-home day.

Natalie also headed to Shipston for a social value meeting with Project Manager Bes, spent time at UK Construction Week exploring key conversations at the Culture, Change & Skills Hub – covering everything from supporting women in construction to attracting and retaining talent, and the role of allyship in driving meaningful change.

She rounded off the week with a visit to Luton CDC for another social value meeting.

A busy, varied week that shows just how much goes into delivering real social value 💙

Congratulations to Matthew on receiving the Excellence Together Safety Champion awardaward🎉

Nominated by multiple managers from our project at Gilbert Hitchcock House, Matthew was recognised for his outstanding commitment to safe working practices and his positive, respectful attitude on site. Over the past two years, he has consistently demonstrated a strong safety-first approach and consideration for those working around him.

His proactive decision to invest in and consistently wear a full RPE head/face mask—despite the challenges posed by significant facial hair—has further set a leading example.

It’s fantastic to see our project at Luton Community Diagnostic Centre making strong progress. Delivered through the Pagabo Refit & Refurb framework, this £10m scheme will transform a former teaching space into a state-of-the-art Community Diagnostic Centre.

Once complete, the facility will offer community endoscopy services alongside CT and DEXA scanning for adults, bringing vital diagnostic services closer to local people. The new centre will enhance patient access, help reduce waiting times, and contribute to improved health outcomes across Luton and South Bedfordshire.
