We're proud to have delivered the decarbonisation works at White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre in Abingdon, helping Vale of White Horse District Council take another major step towards its net zero ambitions.

The scheme has replaced fossil fuel-based systems with low-carbon technologies, including air source heat pumps and 600 roof-mounted solar panels. The result is a more sustainable, future-ready leisure facility that reduces operational carbon emissions while improving long-term energy resilience.

A fantastic collaborative effort alongside Pellings LLP, Vale of White Horse District Council, Salix and all project partners involved.

Recently, our Sustainability Manager, Jim, joined the team at Journeys Academy to donate six laptops through Sustainable Tech 4 Good, helping to provide pupils with greater access to digital learning opportunities.

The laptops will support a range of classroom activities, from coding and research projects to collaborative learning, while helping to reduce barriers to education for neurodivergent learners.

Sustainable Tech 4 Good said: "We are incredibly grateful to Ashe for this generous donation. These laptops will enhance our computing provision, support vital digital learning opportunities, and help our pupils develop essential skills for the future. This kindness will make a lasting difference to the children at Journeys Academy."

A special thank you to Danny, our Project Manager, for nominating Journeys Academy for this donation and helping us make a positive impact in the local community.

We are pleased to welcome Izaak and Ella as our newest Assistant Site Supervisors through our ASPIRE Academy programme.

Over the coming years, they will take part in our rotational development programme, gaining valuable experience both on site and in the office. Their placements will provide insight into key areas of the business, including Surveying, Design Management, Procurement, Health & Safety and Estimating, while also studying towards a Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship at university.

💬 Izaak said:
"As someone who wasn't completely sure which area of construction I wanted to specialise in, the rotational apprenticeship programme was an obvious choice. The atmosphere at Ashe is incredibly welcoming and supportive, and the business provides every opportunity to learn, train and apply that knowledge in both office and site environments. I'm looking forward to building my career here."

💬 Ella said:
"I chose this route because I wanted to gain an insight into one of the UK's most dynamic and essential industries. This apprenticeship offers the perfect opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while developing my skills, knowledge and understanding of the construction sector."

We're excited to support Izaak and Ella as they begin their careers with us and look forward to seeing them develop and thrive through the ASPIRE Academy.

To mark World Mental Health Day, our Mental Health First Aiders and Ashe Belong representatives visited construction and roofing sites across the business, while also spending time with colleagues at Head Office, encouraging open conversations and raising awareness of the support available.

The team showcased our Ashe Belong wellbeing boxes, highlighting the resources and support networks available whenever they're needed.

We believe that looking after our mental wellbeing is just as important as looking after our physical health. By creating opportunities to talk, listen and support one another, we can help build a stronger, healthier workplace for everyone.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please remember that support is available. 💙

We recently revisited our completed Sandy Secondary School project to capture some fantastic new drone footage, and it was great to see the campus thriving.

Procured through the Pagabo Major Works framework, the works saw 28 new classrooms, five IT suites, two specialist food technology rooms, a brand-new Sixth Form centre, and a purpose-built SEND block, creating an inclusive and inspiring environment for students to learn, grow and achieve.

We're proud to have played our part in helping to create a modern learning environment that will support generations of students for years to come.
