We recently gave our Social Value Manager, Natalie, a camera for the week to capture a glimpse into her day-to-day… and here’s what she got up to 📸

From visiting Journeys to catch up with Kieran, a T Level student, to a working-from-home day.

Natalie also headed to Shipston for a social value meeting with Project Manager Bes, spent time at UK Construction Week exploring key conversations at the Culture, Change & Skills Hub – covering everything from supporting women in construction to attracting and retaining talent, and the role of allyship in driving meaningful change.

She rounded off the week with a visit to Luton CDC for another social value meeting.

Congratulations to Matthew on receiving the Excellence Together Safety Champion awardaward🎉

Nominated by multiple managers from our project at Gilbert Hitchcock House, Matthew was recognised for his outstanding commitment to safe working practices and his positive, respectful attitude on site. Over the past two years, he has consistently demonstrated a strong safety-first approach and consideration for those working around him.

His proactive decision to invest in and consistently wear a full RPE head/face mask—despite the challenges posed by significant facial hair—has further set a leading example.

It’s fantastic to see our project at Luton Community Diagnostic Centre making strong progress. Delivered through the Pagabo Refit & Refurb framework, this £10m scheme will transform a former teaching space into a state-of-the-art Community Diagnostic Centre.

Once complete, the facility will offer community endoscopy services alongside CT and DEXA scanning for adults, bringing vital diagnostic services closer to local people. The new centre will enhance patient access, help reduce waiting times, and contribute to improved health outcomes across Luton and South Bedfordshire.

Congratulations to Tom, Glen & Dan from Gilbert & Gregson Construction Ltd as recipients of the Ashe Quarterly Sub-Contractor Safety Award for their outstanding work at the University of Hertfordshire Medical Building.

Ashe Project Manager Andy praised their strong health & safety culture on site. The team has shown excellent initiative in proactively managing risks, consistently maintaining high standards without the need for additional input. Their quality of work and communication have been exceptional throughout.

A major milestone reached at Shipston School as the steel frame takes shape!🎉

Procured through the Pagabo Medium Works Framework, the development will extend the existing school with a single storey sports facility featuring a full size hall, dedicated storerooms, and new W/C, changing, and shower facilities —providing modern, high quality amenities for students and the wider community.

Celebrating 10 Years of Ashe Roofing 🎉

From their first project, a £200k cladding replacement at Canterbury Industrial Estate, to a £17m turnover business in 2025, Ashe Roofing’s journey has been nothing short of incredible.

Pictured here is a proud moment from 2020, winning the NRFC Gold Award for Health & Safety in Roofing just one example of the standards they’ve set along the way.

Now, with a team of 24 and continuing to grow, Ashe Roofing remains a key part of the Ashe Group.

The wellbeing of our employees, subcontractors, and wider supply chain remains a top priority, and we continue to invest in meaningful support for anyone who may need it.

Alongside our employee assistance programmes, we’ve made resources even more accessible by providing the HA Wisdom Wellbeing app and the Lighthouse Charity Construction Industry Helpline on all staff mobile devices—ensuring help is always close at hand for both our teams and their families.

We’re also proud to have 19 trained Mental Health First Aiders across the group, offering a network of support and a listening ear whenever it’s needed.
