Dusk by the fire

As the light fades, the house begins to slow.

Set around a quiet courtyard, the fire pit becomes a natural point to gather, a place to pause after time spent by the sea. Warm light flickers across brick and stone, softening the space as evening settles in.

A simple moment, shaped by material, enclosure, and atmosphere.

A quieter arrival

Set within the Surrey countryside, Treetops reveals itself gradually.

From the road, the approach is calm and restrained, soft off-white brick and a rhythm of stone columns guiding you towards the entrance. It’s a deliberate contrast to what lies beyond, holding back the wider views and drama of the site.

A considered sequence, designed to heighten the experience of arrival.

Coastal living, reimagined

This home turns the traditional layout on its head, placing bedrooms below and lifting the main living spaces up into the light and views.

A sandstone wall draws you through the house, flowing from outside in and guiding the journey up to a bright, open living space framed by expansive glazing and the sea beyond.

A simple shift in layout, designed to make the most of its setting.

Contemporary alpine architecture, shaped by place and people

At OB Mountain, every chalet begins with its setting and the people who will live there. Our designs are rooted in the landscape, responding to topography, climate, and local character, while evolving what contemporary mountain living can be.

This reel brings together a selection of our alpine projects, each carefully considered and designed in close dialogue with our clients. It ends, as many projects do, in conversation, where ideas are shared, refined, and shaped against the backdrop of the mountains themselves.

Architecture that feels grounded, personal, and forward-looking.

If you have a Mountain project in mind, please don’t hesitate to reach out via our email: [email protected], or give us a call.

How can we reactivate the coastline?

As part of a wider scheme to renew the shores of Bognor Regis, Regis Quarter sets the ambition to bring life back to the shoreline, creating a place that feels active, social, and rooted in its coastal setting.

The scheme introduces new homes alongside shared spaces and everyday amenities, encouraging people to spend more time by the sea. It’s about more than living at the coast, it’s about building a stronger sense of community around it.

This is part of a wider vision for the area, with a neighbouring project set to introduce a new music venue and rooftop dining, establishing a destination for entertainment and a renewed sense of local pride.

A step towards a more vibrant, connected future for Bognor’s seafront.

Can balconies improve city living?

At The Maglajska Canopy, balconies are more than an addition; they shape the architecture itself. A series of softly curved forms creates generous outdoor spaces for each home, while introducing rhythm, depth, and movement to the façade.

Integrated planting brings a softer, living layer to the building, breaking up the geometry and connecting residents more closely to nature within an urban setting.

A considered response to density, where outdoor space, materiality, and form work together to enhance everyday living.

More to follow as the project develops.

Can student living feel high quality?

At Uni Life, the aim was to challenge expectations, designing student accommodation that prioritises quality, longevity, and a strong sense of place.

Through off-site modular construction and a carefully considered material palette, the scheme brings efficiency and precision together with a more refined architectural expression. The result is a building that supports everyday living while contributing positively to its urban context.

A different approach to student housing, one that values design, experience, and long-term impact.

How do you design for a sloping site?

At Strawberry Close, the natural topography became the starting point for the design. Rather than resisting the slope, the scheme steps through the landscape, using tiered massing to reduce visual impact while maintaining a strong architectural presence.

This approach allows each home to sit more comfortably within its setting, balancing outlook, scale, and privacy across the site.

A considered response to constraint, where the land shapes the architecture.

Shaping the future of living

This residential-led development brings together new homes, commercial spaces, and thoughtfully designed green areas, creating a balanced environment shaped around everyday life.

From early feasibility through to planning, the design has been developed with a strong focus on sustainability, community, and long-term value. It’s an approach that looks beyond individual buildings, considering how places are lived in and experienced over time.
