The Marcus Center for Advanced Rehabilitation at Shepherd Center demonstrates what is possible when thoughtful design begins with a clear understanding of the people a building must serve.

Part of Shepherd Center’s Pursuing Possible campaign, the 13-story facility will support expanding clinical, research, and administrative programs while freeing space within the existing campus for additional patient beds and enhanced services.

A new pedestrian bridge connects the existing hospital to the Marcus Center’s two-story lobby, creating an intuitive transition between new and existing spaces. Throughout the building and site, universal accessibility principles guided the design, with every detail carefully considered to support patients, families, clinicians, and staff.

Complex projects like this require more than a strong design vision. They require listening, close collaboration, careful coordination, and a practical understanding of how each decision affects the people who will use the space every day.

We're proud to celebrate two exciting milestones at RJTR—congratulations to Mea McCormack and Shannon Donohue on becoming licensed architects!

Earning architectural licensure is a significant achievement that reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and continuous learning. Throughout the process, both Mea and Shannon discovered that the hands-on experience gained through their work at RJTR reinforced the knowledge they needed to succeed, while the encouragement and support of their colleagues helped them reach this important milestone.

Mea was drawn to architecture because it brings together two things she loves: art and science. She is passionate about creating spaces that positively impact the way people live, work, and connect, and she believes thoughtful design can make a lasting social and environmental impact for future generations.

Shannon's passion for architecture developed through her experiences in design, construction, art, furniture, and collaboration with talented professionals. Award-winning design at Chamblee City Heights.

We’re honored to share that Chamblee City Heights received a Silver Award at the 45th Annual ASID Georgia Design Excellence Awards.

Designed within a compact urban footprint, the clubhouse transforms everyday amenity space into a layered resident experience—combining a two-story club lounge, co-working mezzanine, grand wooden stair, under-stair banquette nook, theater room, and street-facing mercantile-style windows.

Inspired by the site’s industrial past, the design brings together warm wood tones, aged brass accents, dark paneled walls, acoustic materials, and neo-industrial details to create a space that feels both refined and welcoming.

At The Exchange Raleigh, RJTR partnered to create more than office space. The development was designed to foster connection, innovation, and a meaningful relationship between architecture and the surrounding landscape. From the Oculus Bridge connecting 1000 Social and 2000 Social office towers to the rooftop sky park to the monumental oak-inspired sculpture anchoring the lobby, every element was carefully crafted to create an engaging experience for tenants and visitors alike.

New images just in for the George and Scheller Towers at Georgia Tech Square!

These views capture the scale and energy of Tech Square Phase III, a transformative mixed-use development designed to bring together business, engineering, research, and collaboration in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. The 14 story Scheller Tower and 18 story George Tower will serve as future homes for the Scheller College of Business and the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, creating a dense vertical campus centered around innovation and interdisciplinary learning.

From dynamic gathering spaces and expansive classrooms to activated public areas along Fifth Street, the building is designed to strengthen connection, creativity, and community across Midtown. Excited to see this vision continue taking shape.

Thoughtfully positioned between the Raleigh Convention Center and the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts, the 29-story hotel is designed to reflect the energy, character, and growing vibrancy of downtown Raleigh.

Designed to reflect the energy and character of Raleigh, the hotel will introduce thoughtfully curated experiences, including:

• A first-of-its-kind Peter Millar coffee concept featuring a custom blend from Black & White Coffee Roasters
• North Carolina’s first Bob's Steak & Chop House
• A rooftop pool and restaurant with sweeping city views
