In 2016, VT Custom Handrails and Metal was founded by James Lambert. James created this private enterprise after culminating 10 years of experience welding and fabricating in the fast paced, unhealthy, lean-manufacturing environment of production manufacturing. James ga
ined much experience and self education by designing, fabricating, welding and repairing numerous projects in his spare time for himself and friends, whether for recreation or as a service. The time and energy dedicated to his practice through out those years whether by occupation or recreation has contributed to the highest development of his metal fabrication skills and simultaneously given rise to a friendly and professional individual with the tenacity to take on many different types of projects, serving the customer needs to the utmost, and placing the highest value on quality, efficiency and problem solving to meet customers every expectation. James’ dad purchased his first welder when James was 15 years old and as result James was able to develop and refine his skills learning from others in his occupation, and his own experience, working for himself and others in the local business community who recognized James’ work ethic and eagerness to learn. With this he has developed the capacity to manufacture many different types of metal related goods and provide dynamic services to friends and businesses alike whether residential, commercial, or agricultural. After his “big break” in 2015 fabricating and welding an entire 1.5” stainless plumbing system for Green Mountain Mainlines Maple Sugar Operation (see photos), James became inspired to start developing a comprehensive economical metal services enterprise fabricating whatever could be thrown at him from handrails to exhausts, powder coating ovens, packagaing equipment, excavator buckets, aluminum ladders, docks, sailboat masts and many more to name just a few. Eventually focusing mostly on Tig welding and stainless steel fabrication for sanitary food grade applications in the bulk dry goods packaging and Maple sugaring industries. With his extensive knowledge and experience of most welding processes, such as tig, stick and mig welding, the range of services provided by VT Handrails and metalwork in the realm of metal fabrication has grown to the level that caters to the needs of local people and businesses who might not otherwise be able to bring their vision to fruition because the nuances of custom metal fabrication, the lack of service providers in the area offering competitive reasonable solutions and affordable rates.
