🌱 Our Northwoods Project Is Greening Up Fast!

The 32,000 sq. ft. of hydroseeding on our massive Northwoods project is coming in beautifully!

It’s amazing how quickly a property can transform once the grass starts growing. After all the grading, landscaping, hardscaping, and sitework that went into this project, seeing the lawn establish so quickly really brings everything together!

With over 800 man-hours invested into this transformation, we’re down to one final step — installing the landscape lighting! 💡

Once the lighting is complete and the lawn continues to fill in, we’ll be sharing a full video walkthrough showcasing everything our crew accomplished from start to finish!

🌱 4 New Lawns Coming in Nicely!

We recently wrapped up four complete lawn installations in the Muskie Drive subdivision, and the results are already looking great!

Each property required approximately 7 quad-axle loads of topsoil, along with final grading, lot line cleanup, and debris removal. One of the properties also included stormwater management work to ensure proper drainage.

Once all the prep work was completed, we finished each lawn with hydroseeding to establish a thick, healthy lawn.

These pictures show the properties just a short time after hydroseeding, and the grass is already filling in very nicely!

From moving dirt and managing drainage to final grading and lawn installation, our crew handles the entire process from start to finish.

💧 Underground Drainage System Installed

We installed over 200 feet of NDS EZflow drainage to help manage water across the property.

All of the downspouts and yard drains are tied directly into the underground system, capturing runoff and moving it below the surface where it can slowly disperse back into the surrounding soil.

NDS EZflow uses a perforated drain pipe surrounded by packing peanuts—to create underground storage space for water without the need for traditional stone.

Over 200’ of drainage installed, with every downspout and yard drain connected into one complete system. Clean, underground, and designed to keep water where it belongs.

A huge project wrapped up in Minocqua, WI! 🌲

With nearly 800 man-hours invested from start to finish, this was a massive project and definitely one of the more fun builds our crew has taken on.

A little look at what went into this property:

• 800 face ft. of boulder retaining walls
• 38 steps from the lake all the way up to the deck
• 1,400 sq. ft. of pavers
• 550 sq. ft. of natural flagstone
• Concrete landscape curbing
• 32 quad-axle loads of topsoil
• Complete irrigation system & drip irrigation
• Buried downspouts & drainage
• All plant material installed
• 32,000 sq. ft. hydroseeded
• Nearly 700 man-hours of work

From the lakefront all the way up to the house, our crew handled just about every aspect of the outdoor construction on this property.

Projects of this size are what we’re built for. Retaining walls, hardscapes, grading, drainage, irrigation, plantings, lawn installation — there’s not much we can’t handle.

We’re looking to continue expanding our work throughout Minocqua and the Northwoods and would love the opportunity to earn more business in the area.

These are two separate new construction projects located right next door to each other.

The first property included a complete irrigation system, final grading, landscape curbing, sod, landscape rock, and hydroseeding. Next door, we completed a complete irrigation system, final grading, and hydroseeding.

What really stands out in these photos is how clean the hydroseeded areas are after only 15 days — very little w**d pressure and great early establishment.

There’s a reason for that. Our hydroseeding application is a complete blend of premium grass seed, Tenacity® w**d control, starter fertilizer, mulch, and soil booster. Instead of simply spraying seed and mulch, we’re giving the lawn what it needs to germinate quickly, establish strong, and help control w**ds right from the start.

One of our crews out at Camping World today giving the landscape beds a clean refresh. 🌿 We applied Snapshot pre-emergent for w**d control and installed 24 yards of mulch with a clean 1” top dressing to keep the property looking sharp all season long.

This project is going to be a masterpiece when it’s finished.

We’re building:
• 800 face ft of boulder walls
• 1,400 sq ft of paver patio
• 500 sq ft of natural flagstone
• Plantings
• Irrigation
• Landscape lighting
• Drainage
• Topsoil Spreading & Preperation
• Hydroseeding

Pretty much the whole 9 yards on this one.

And the entire hardscape is being built on an open graded base system.

Most people only see the finished patio or retaining walls, but what’s underneath is what actually determines how long a project lasts. We build a lot of our projects this way because water can move through the system instead of getting trapped underneath it. Better drainage, less movement, and a more stable foundation long term.

Road base definitely has its place, but on projects like this we want the best foundation possible.

There’s a reason railroads are built on open graded stone systems. You don’t see tracks constantly washing out or failing because the system drains the way it’s supposed to.

A lot of time planning and effort goes into the details on projects like this, and that’s what separates an average install from one that’s built to last.
