Hernandez-Eli Architecture is proud to support the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens in bringing Jackson Heights its first-ever dedicated community center!
Today, Governor Kathy Hochul announced a $10 million commitment toward the facility. The announcement is part of a $33.8 million public-private partnership that also includes $10 million from Metropolitan Park and $9.3 million secured by Council Member Shekar Krishnan and the New York City Council.
Through architectural renderings, zoning studies, and planning drawings, HE is honored to translate the VBGCQ vision into a tangible proposal, building momentum and support for this transformative investment in our posterity.
The future center will serve up to 10,000 children and families across Jackson Heights, Corona, East Elmhurst, Elmhurst, and Woodside, offering spaces for recreation, education, the arts, and community connection.
Congratulations to CEO Costa Constantinides and the entire team. And to every elected official and private partner who made this possible.
