Chapel Hill Church Renovation

Chapel Hill Church in Gig Harbor, WA hired Weddermann Architecture to renovate several of the church’s most heavily used spaces, including the lobby, restrooms, and coffee area.

The remodel introduced new lighting, ceilings, flooring, custom wood-slat detailing, and fresh paint to create a more welcoming and cohesive environment.

The project also included reconfiguring a large stairway that had previously constricted circulation to the coffee shop, improving both the functionality and flow of the space.

We’re excited to welcome a new metal art installation to our office. Jennifer created this piece many years ago and recently decided it belonged as a permanent part of the Weddermann Architecture space.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has incorporated the theme of a singular wing into her work, making its placement in our seating area especially fitting—a meaningful reflection of her artistic legacy within our office.

Tacoma Public School (TPS) Foss High School Renovations

Foss High School is undergoing renovations for interior improvements and mechanical upgrades. With the original building constructed in 1972 and two additions in 1997 and 2005, the High School is due for an upgrade throughout.

The renovations will generally involve flooring replacement, repainting in select areas, upgrading the lighting system to LED, replacement of the swimming pool boiler, and miscellaneous renovations throughout the building.

The building renovation began this summer and will be phased out through school breaks as needed. Photos were taken at a recent site walk, then processed to add students and a few elements that have not yet been completed.

We designed a thoughtfully planned cabin just over 1,000 square feet, featuring a single-story layout with 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths.
