Gardening Gone Wild

Gardening Gone Wild We’re here to explore the wild, wonderful parallel between the plants we prune and the relationships we nurture.

🌺 * All things growing in gardens and relationships.
💗 * Sometimes funny, sometimes close to the heart!
🌸 * Our 24 / 7 life of maintaining both.
🌷 * Curating a life in full bloom.
🌼 * Humorous * Motivational * Educational Welcome to Gardening Gone Wild, we are so excited to have you here... a space where we believe that the most beautiful things in life require a little dirt under your fingernail

s and a whole lot of heart. From the 24/7 hustle of maintaining a healthy garden to the daily "weeding" required to keep a partnership flourishing, we’ve learned that a life in full bloom isn’t about perfection, it’s about the messy, beautiful process of growing together through every season. Think of this page as your digital garden bench, a place where we share the humorous mishaps, the motivational wins, and the educational "aha!" moments that come with curating a meaningful life. Sometimes we’ll make you laugh, and other times we’ll share a story that hits close to home. Most importantly, we all have the opportunity to cultivate kindness and harvest joy, one seed and one person at a time. 🌺💚🌸💜🌼

Creating a water and wildlife space in your garden comes down to three main things no matter how small: accessible water, native plant cover, and shelter. By incorporating these elements, you can provide a vital habitat for local pollinators, birds, and others while boosting your garden's natural biodiversity.

✨️ Friday is for feeling festive 🎉, fluffy ☺️, and fortunate! ✨️ We took this picture in our front garden bed, and it made us think... 🤔
Like this repurposed piece of metal amongst the roses, just because something works differently than originally thought, doesn't diminish the possibility of shining brighter than ever imagined. ✨️🌟✨️

🌸 Multiflora Rose (Rosa multiflora) 🌸
Photographed in our backyard, this is unfortunately found everywhere in Maine. While these clusters of small white flowers look stunning and smell incredibly sweet, there's a not so wonderful catch. 😒
This vigorous climber is actually considered a highly invasive species in many areas (here as well). It grows rapidly, forming dense thickets that can easily overtake native plants and crowd out local wildlife habitats.

Captured yesterday while the sky was as blue as blue can be... Blowing a dandelion is a timeless symbol of hope, letting go, and making a wish. The feathery seeds represent floating dreams, resilience, and the magic of childhood. 🌼🥰

Let's carry only the positive energy from today and rid ourselves of any negative mojo! From our garden, Salvia (also known as sage), derives from the Latin word salvere, meaning "to heal" or "to save." Used across cultures in smudging rituals, it symbolizes the warding off of negative energy and the promotion of well being.

Clematis Boulevard® Nubia™ ❤️✨... photo from our neighbor's yard. If you are looking for a true, velvety crimson red flower that packs a punch, this may be the one. Its deep red petals are beautifully contrasted by dark purple centers, and because it is a compact vine (growing only 3 to 5 feet tall), it is absolutely perfect for patio containers, small trellises, or garden borders.
• Light: Full sun to partial shade (loves sunny tops and cool, mulched roots!).
• Blooms: Late spring all the way through summer.
• Pruning: Easy! Just cut it back hard in late winter/early spring to watch it burst with fresh, dense blooms.
